Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant
An oldie but a goodie, Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant was established in 1985 and is still going strong 30 years on.
While the traditional Balinese decor is starting to show its age, the spread of classic Indonesian favourites still hits the spot every time. Bali is known for their savoury grilled meats and satay is a must-try as well as beef rendang, gado-gado (fried crackers and steamed rice cakes covered in a rich, spicy-sweet peanut sauce) and mee bakso (meatballs soup served with vermicelli).
Desserts are scrummy too with authentic Indonesian desserts like kueh lapis (thousand layer cake), chendol and a not so common kueh jongkong (coconut milk pudding with a layer of gula melaka).
