La Saison by Jacques Barnachon
Being a french's wife visiting French restaurant is kinda my weekend schedule. We are not wealthy so our target would be mainly the mid-price ranged one. With the restaurant week we have been kinda lucky with the appointments we made and Le Saison by Jacques Barnachon turned out to be one of those.
We arrived the restaurant just in time. Well we didn't have the best table in the restaurant. The decor is a bit "classic" and lacks the modern fine dining restaurant ambience which the "French" restaurants in Hong Kong always feature with.
Waiter was friendly and helpful, just like those in the small restaurants in Europe. First it comes the appetiser and it have been successful to give us the appetite we need for the big dinner coming.
My hubby ordered the Duck Foi Gras and it was really super delicious, the flavour of the duck liver is very different and I really like it.
For the main course my hubby ordered the beef short ribs. Well I have the Anova precision cooker at home so it's not the first time we tried slow cooked meat, both at our house and dining out. But the beef we tasted is really different, the texture is like the Chinese beef brisket but the taste is like a steak. That's really amazing!
As for my Carnaroli risotto the creamy sauce with the chorizo foam made the taste just perfect. The prawn is nicely cook!
For the dessert I have ordered the Crème brûlée - my only favourite and it turned out as one of the best cream brûlée I have tried in Hong Kong. Of course the cheese platter didn't disappoint the French. This meal was so really good and we were lucky as we did want to cancel due to my sister's family visit in the afternoon.
