Mayan Japanese Restaurant (Causeway Bay)

A local friend recommended and reserved us a table because she knows my teenage son loves sushi. For a teenager with a hearty appetite an all you can eat Japanese restaurant is probably his idea of heaven! My friend said the price depends on the day of the week and that it can be very busy. We went on a Friday evening for the 6pm-8.30pm slot and we ate a huge variety of delicious foods. We was presented with a big book of sheets which we ordered from, the food came quick and the sashimi was so well presented. The yellowtail sashimi was cut a little too thick for my liking though and it wasn't particularly nice to chew into. The baked oysters and lamb chops I would strongly recommend to anyone going. The servers present you with the bill half way through your time slot which I thought was a little bizarre as I've never encountered anything like it but my friend said it was standard procedure. After you pay for your meal you are given a Haagen Dazs ice cream order sheet to order a tub of ice cream. All in all, I thought Manya was fabulous.
