Isn’t it a wonderful thing when your experience lives up to your expectations? Such an event happened to us the night we dined at Bacco Beach. This extraordinary structure on Na Jomtien Beach, which has been in the construction stages for 16 months, is now complete and what a phenomenal pleasure dome of gastro happiness it is. With seating for over 500 people inside and outside, 605 distinguished wine labels housed in their temperature-controlled wine cave, two pizza ovens of variable temperatures for specific pizza varieties, a rotary oven, microbrewery conditions where beer is kept at minus 2 degrees, VIP “Chef’s Kitchen” with seating for 18 people plus a pink baby grand piano – it is one extraordinary destination. Sited on a rai of pristine sands with vista daybeds reaching down to the shoreline this is – yes, I’m going to say it again – one extraordinary destination.
