Dutch Baby Cafe
Run by the same folks who own Fruits Paradise and Ginza Kushi Katsu, Dutch Baby Cafe boasts a bright cheery atmosphere great for a light lunch or a spot of tea — they offer floral and fruity infusions. The star dish here is the Dutch baby pancake, a lovechild of the pancake and crepe. It's served on hot cast iron pans and comes with a variety of toppings.
While the sweet versions such as the Mixed Berries Pancake ($13.80) are hot favourites, the savoury Maple Grapefruit ($13.80) is a surprising winner. You get lemon chicken, grapefruit chucks and fresh salad that pair well with the crisp and warm pancake.
If you’re looking for something heartier, they offer curry dishes as well. The Lemon Chicken Baked Cheese Curry ($14.80) is a little dry around the edges, but has juicy chicken chunks and plenty of cheese and mayo to combat that. Another great lunch dish is the Eggslut Breakfast Plate ($10.80).
