The Joomak
If You have ever been to Hong Kong You will know one of the main problems: with the exception of few areas (like around Hollywood Road) most eating-places are high up or inside of one of the commercial centres. We were really hungry returning from disappointing Macao and decided to remain in the vicinity of the China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui - so what is the best idea? We entered the Harbour City complex which is one of the biggest shopping centres and offers at least 50 places where You may eat. Unfortunately we arrived at the wrong hour (about 08.00 p.m.) and all the places pre-chosen by us were packed and some of them had long queues of people waiting to be seated. The only place we found offering us a table was The Joomak where we ate some delicious but certainly not extraordinary Korean food at reasonable prices. The service was a little behind of what You normally get in Hong Kong but the food was really okay (no fear: they won't offer You hot dogs), the Korean beer which accompanied the food was frozen - I don't know if this is a new tendency, but in any case it's a pity to destroy a good beer. Nevertheless not a bad place.
