Stables Grill

Nestled inside the old horse stables of Hullett House with views over the House’s white-stucco colonnades dating from 1881 and its sweeping lawns, Stables Grill is the perfect place to soak up the ambience of old Hong Kong and enjoy casual dining expertly presented by the culinary team.
Cuisine The Stables Grill menu offers the best in casual dining for both lunch and dinner. The menu comprises a large grill section with both quality meat and seafood carefully-selected and chargrilled to order over an open grill.
Design Behind the two large antique wooden stable doors is an interior hewn from worn wood, complemented by brown textures. Lights hung from the ceiling are cleverly concealed in suspended leather cylinders (each over one metre in length) that were originally used to transport freshly-sheared sheep’s wool from France in the 1950s. Meanwhile, the walls are decorated with salvaged wooden panels from the deck of a 50-year-old Chinese ship. The result is a warm and intimate setting to enjoy fine food prepared in the open kitchen. Moving upstairs, the theme of restored wood and warm tones continues, but is accented by the glow of hanging red “egg lamps”, exactly those that can be found over the street stalls in the traditional local wet markets of Hong Kong.
