Tono Daikiya 殿.大喜屋
My recommendation for Daikiya: Come Hungry! The restaurant is an all you can eat, full-service Japanese buffet. Reservations are required on weekends and are made in "rounds" of 2.5 hours. Your table is booked for a round, meaning you have 2.5 hours to eat as much as you want. Be careful about ordering too much, as there is a charge for excessive wasting of food.
There are separate menus labeled A-G, each of which corresponds to a specific category: i.e. Sashimi, Tempura, Drinks, etc. In short, there is an overwhelming amount of food. You can order from each menu as many times as you want and the food will be brought to your table quickly, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes. The sashimi in particular was excellent and very fresh- typical of Hong Kong seafood. The rest of the food was great, even my Japanese friend agreed. Daikiya was a really fun experience for our group of six-- we had a lot of fun ordering as many different foods as possible and were determined to eat all of what we ordered. I would definitely recommend for an outing with friends or for tourists wanting to enjoy "all you can eat".
