Lei Yue Mun Seafood Restaurant

About Lei Yue Mun

Lei Yue Mun "鯉魚門" or Carp Channel is named after a short channel between Tseung Kwan O and Victoria Harbour separating Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula. Historically important as the eastern gateway into the harbour it is now renowned for hosting the world famous Seafood Bazzar.
A great place for a day out with a seafood meal don't forget to also pay a visit to the Grade II historic Tin Hau Temple or the Wish Tree and lighthouse too.

As Lei Yue Mun is a channel between Tseung Kwan O and Victoria Harbour separating Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula, you can't really say Lei Yue Mun is located at Kowloon or Hong Kong Island. There are different sides and faces of Lei Yue Mun.

Though when most people talk about Lei Yue Mun they are thinking of the seafood restaurants on the Kowloon side and the Seafood Bazaar. There is also the almost forgotten the military role it used to play for the last 600 years. The Museum of Coastal Defense is there to remind us.

This website provides an overall introduction and guide to the district and is intended to help the visitor to get the best our of their time in Lei Yue Mun.
