Housed within Orchard Hotel, Sushi Kou offers value-for-money set lunches that appeal to the bustling lunchtime crowd (most of which could not get a seat at nearby Teppei). We recommend the special kaisen don set ($26), a vibrant combination of sushi rice that is topped with a variety of sashimi — salmon, tuna, scallop and ikura among others — along with sides of chawanmushi and miso soup. Come dinnertime, they serve affordable omakase meals that begin at $50.
