Takeya (竹家)

The Japanese owner-chef was originally posted to Hong Kong as an engineer but, having settled here and married a local girl, he switched careers and together they opened this little yakitori shop in Hung Hom. Seating just 15, it’s an intimate spot, made warmer with lots of bamboo. There’s extensive choice, with seasonal specialities available. Try the special selections of Japanese wine or the high quality homemade umeshu.
