Tandoor established in Hong Kong since 1987, uses rare spices and exotic taste. It defines both traditional and more modern interpretations of sublime Indian food.

Tandoor opened by the well known Mr Atu Balani’s family. It has become famous for serving traditional Indian food created by some of india’s most skilled chefs, unique décor and live Indian music, drawing a loyal fans from among locals including celebrities, politicians and food critics as well as tourists from around the world.

Among its many destinations Tandoor was voted “ Hong Kong's Best Restaurant 2000” by Hong Kong Tattler and was awarded the coveted FIVE STAR honor of New York, unseen best indian restaurant by MICHELIN Guide on 2009. It was also declared champion in the Hong Kong Urban Councils’ Restaurant Hygiene Competition and was chosen to organize the curry festival held by Beijing’s , Zhaolong Hotel. In 1998 Tandoor was invited by Guang Zhou tourism bureau and municipal peoples Government to demonstrate and introduce Indian food. According to General Manager B.S. Tandoor has moved 4 times on central district only. The new premises since 8th January 2004 have been designed by architects’ Zanghellni Holt who specializes in Restaurants. They have succeeded in creating more modern and contemporary feel. More over it’s by far, a better location than before and certainly more spacious. The larger space affords for two private rooms for guests who prefer more privacy. These two VIP dining rooms can accommodate parties of up to 9 and 30 respectively which are equipped with latest hi-tech video visual amenities.

We offer Lunch and dinner buffet, where our guests can select from a wild variety of delicacies from the specially constructed menu. We also serve ala carte, our food is HALAL. As far as pricing is concerned, the restaurant proves that good Indian food need not be expensive compared with non Indian restaurant. Our prices are lot lower says Rana. We welcome senior citizen as well. At the end of the day we want Tandoor to be recognized for offering great food and friendly service at affordable price.
