Takumen’s 30 plus seat contemporary dining space, housed in a 1930s shophouse on Circular Road, is the first brick-and-mortar outlet of Japan’s only online ramen store, which is also called Takumen (www.takumen.com).

Takumen serves six different ramen brands from Japan. Each brand’s specialties are painstakingly recreated in a local kitchen, using carefully guarded recipes and original soup stock (or motodare) imported from Japan, ensuring that the distinctive flavors are perfectly reproduced. Takumen’s menu changes from time to time to feature different sets of brands from the company’s huge network of traditional ramen restaurants.
