Butadon is originated from Tokachi Obihiro, Hokkaido.


In 1883 i.e. the development era of Hokkaido, early settlers of Obihiro believed that cattle are for milk production, horses are for transportation and swine are for consumption.

Therefore, Obihiro is naturally famous for eating pork and now Butadon is renowned as the signature dish from the place.
