Swiss Café 瑞士咖啡室
This restaurant has been located in this small street in Central many many years. A very busy restaurant serving typical local (Hong Kong style) western type of food. Start very early in the morning from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Very busy, you might need to share a table. I also like the deco of this restaurant. In the morning, they serve breakfast, a set of sandwiches (thick fresh bread - toasted or fresh), plus a local milk tea, coffee or lemon tea only costing HK$21 dollars (very cheap indeed) or you can choose others - many many different types to choose from - hot dogs, eggs, noodles, peanuts butter sandwiches, jam sandwiches, corn beef sandwiches, egg sandwiches etc etc whatever you name it they have it. Lunches are cheap as well, rice, noodles (set ie including drinks), less than HK$50. Always a busy restaurant, the turnover is quick but you can see many things happening in this typical restaurant. Don't expect too much on the service. Food is good compare to the price you pay. Worth a visit, rather famous local restaurant if you want to see a typical busy life in Hong Kong (everyone is rushing). Look at the bar where they prepare the drinks and all the old posters round the wall - very interesting. Worth to pay a visit and try.
