Kwan Kee Chinese restaurant
Clay (hot) pots are the best kind of Cantonese style home cooking; tens of different clay pot dishes with all kinds of ingredients and clay pot rice with all kinds of toppings, plus many fried and stir-fried dishes, to choose from. Tonight we had fried fish, fried tofu, spicy frog legs, stuffed peppers, sweet & sour pork ribs, rice top with sausage and aged duck, and bitter melon, and of course, the pork bone soup; all excellent and flavorful. Hong Kong coffee café setting, folding tables and stools, inside elbows to elbows; and a few tables on the street. Definitely not a place for dates. Be sure to call to reserve a table (keep trying until someone answers the phone); or wait in line like 20-30's folks in line. Inexpensive and fun experience!
