Belly View Café is so breezy that you may have a hard time believing that you’re still in Singapore. Perched at the tip of Changi Coastal Walk in the National Service Resort and Country Club, the star of this casual open-air joint is a deck that hangs directly over waters edge.

Better make sure to reserve to snag a table closest to the water, which are the best seats in the house but make sure that the kids don’t fall in. It’s also the primo spot to gaze directly into the underbelly of planes as they drop down into Changi Airport. The kitchen serves up local favourites such as Claypot Tofu ($12), Cereal Prawns ($21) and a tasty plate of crisp and spicy Ikan Bilis ($12) to go with that can of Tiger ($6.50).
